"Emotional rescue" / "Salvataggio emotivo" Antonio Pellicano exhibition project.
The emotional drive to create this project comes from the discomfort of living in a border town, where people keep throwing trash in the middle of the road, and more devastates nature. My project stems from this urgent need to rebalance myself by creating the things that make the earth feel better. I started this project a few years ago with my family. I firmly believe that using plastic in a different way, making it visually attractive, can best capture the attention of the beholder to provoke questions in him.
Why plastic? Why fabrics, why paper? They are all structures that in a certain sense enrich man but impoverish him at the environmental level, due to his lack of awareness that all this must be reused or recycled. Unfortunately, we arrived at the time of living in symbiosis with plastic and not with nature…
